    Santa Cruz Performing Arts (SCPA) is a nonprofit, charitable organization whose mission is to provide classes, programs, and events where individuals can develop skills in music, dance, and theater, thereby fostering self-esteem and an appreciation of the arts.

  • CATS CAMP |
    Ages 8-16 Featuring songs from "Cats", based on 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats' by T.S. Eliot, your child will be introduced to an array of cat characters with rather human personalities, making for a magical showcase where the audience discovers that cats are very much like you and me! Together students will learn the basics of musical theater in a supportive environment, while rehearsing an original musical review. Your child may choose to perform a solo, as well as participate in at least two group numbers. The course concludes with a recital-performance on the last day for friends and family.
    Tuition: $200 (sibling discounts and some scholarships available)
    3:30-5:00 SUNDAYS – FEB. 22 – APR. 29 - Aptos Academy Performing Arts (7970 Soquel Drive, Aptos or near the State Park Exit)
    3:30-5:00 THURSDAYS – FEB 26 – APR. 23 - Ben Jammin's Home Studio (2345 B Chanticleer Ave. Santa Cruz, in Live Oak)

  • KIDDIE CATS |
    Ages 5-7
    This original musical-review features songs from various feline-musicals, including Disney favorites: Lady and the Tramp, and The Aristocats, as well as music from the Broadway smash-hit, Cats! Together students will learn the basics of musical theater in a supportive environment, while rehearsing an original musical review. Your child may choose to perform a solo, as well as participate in at least two group numbers. The course concludes with a recital-performance on the last day for friends and family.

    Classes are low-key and a lot of fun!

Come see our annual multi-generational chorus sing an array of traditional and secular holiday carols, including, "Seasons of Love", "Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog", and "Silent Night" in German!
