Santa Cruz Performing Arts (SCPA) is a nonprofit, charitable organization whose mission is to provide classes, programs, and events where individuals can develop skills in music, dance, and theater, thereby fostering self-esteem and an appreciation of the arts.

San Lorenzo Valley (TBA)
September 6th – November 8th, Sundays 2:00-5:00 for children who would like to sing and dance OR
1:00-5:00 for children with intermediate to advanced skill on
acoustic instrument who want to join the band.
Instructor: Arindam Krishna Das Tuition: $200
Featuring songs from the Beatles' Rubber Soul and Revolver students will learn vocal technique and beginning movement while rehearsing both group numbers and solos. There will be a recital-performance for friends and family following final class at 5:30.

Instructor: Ben Jammin Holck Tuition: $100, +$50 for every additional family member
Hark, the Family Carolers Sing! Now you can pass-down the caroling tradition to your kids – and even sing-along if you want, in our annual multi-generational choir! Drawing from both traditional and non-traditional music, students learn beginning harmony and vocal techniques, while singing an array of traditional and secular holiday carols, including, "Seasons of Love", "Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog", and "Silent Night" in German! The course ends with two to three caroling exhibitions (TBA), to be scheduled on the weekend of December 11th-13th.

August 18 – September 12 - Tues/Thurs 4:00-5:15 Instructor: Ben Jammin Holck Tuition: $200.00 USD
Together students will learn the basics of musical theater, including performance skills, beginning dance, and vocal techniques; and all while rehearsing an original musical review that includes their favorite Disney songs! Students may choose to perform a solo, and will also participate in at least two group numbers. Class concludes with a recital-performance for friends and family on Saturday, September 12th at the Louden Nelson Community Center.
AGES 8 & UP Kristy's School of Dance (formally known as Aptos Academy of Performing Arts) August 23 – October 18 - Sundays from 3:30-5:00 Instructors: Ben Jammin Holck & Jerry Leon Tuition: $200.00 USD
Together students will play improv games as well as learn the basics of comedy, movement, and vocal techniques; all while rehearsing an original review featuring classic comedic songs from Weird Al, Monty Python, and Tom Lahrer. Students may choose to perform a solo, and will also participate in at least two group numbers. There will be a recital-performance for friends and family immediately following the final class from 5:30-6:30 on October 18th.
