Santa Cruz Performing Arts (SCPA) has a scholarship program created to provide
tuition assistance for students and families in financial need.

The Scholarship Selection Committee considers each application individually and confidentially before awarding scholarships. There are no restrictions in the selection of recipients, with the exception that relatives of or members of the selection committee, SCPA officers, directors, or substantial contributors are not eligible for SCPA scholarships.

The number of eligible individuals and the scholarship amounts vary depending upon financial need and the availability of scholarship funds. The scholarship, if granted, will be made in the form of a tuition discount. The amount of each scholarship may range from a full discount to a percentage discount of the full tuition. SCPA considers the scholarships to be gifts, and not loans.

If a scholarship recipient withdraws from the program, this may affect the awarding of
scholarships to that individual in the future.

To be considered for financial assistance, the Scholarship Application Form should be submitted no later than 1 week prior to the start of the program for which assistance is being requested. Scholarships will be awarded at the beginning of the instructional period. Applications received after the deadline will only be considered if scholarship funds are available after having granted scholarships to individuals who met the deadline.

Our scholarship may be used for any performing arts activity in Santa Cruz County. Just fill out our short scholarship application form demonstrating that you need financial assistance, and we’re happy to help.
